Roger Lacroix started to manufacture leather goods for motorcyclists in Belgium in 1919, producing his first hard leather helmets eleven years later.
The company launched its "Cross" brand of helmets in 1945 and through the 40's, 50's and 60's innovated with aluminium helmets and then when plastics became more workable thermoplastic helmets.
In 1980 the company launched their "Lazer" brand of helmets and during the next two decades expanded in to other sports where, as they delightfully phrase it, "brain protection" is needed; Jet-skiing, Snowmobiling and Paragliding.
Lazer helmets are constantly looking to improve their products; introducing integrated sun visors in their modular helmets in 1998 and photochromic visors in 2012.
In 2016 Lazer launched their entry-level LZR range, with touring, off-road, adventure and urban-style helmets.
Today Lazer helmets design, develop and produce a comprehensive range of full face, open face, motocross, adventure, snowmobile, and paragliding helmets and goggles.
