Service rating : Can't fault them. Easy web ordering and fast delivery.
I had a question before ordering so called the phone number shown on the screen. It was answered immediately by a really friendly and helpful girl. This made me feel really happy to order from them.
I had visited one of their shops before to try things on and the staff there were friendly. A big selection of sizes to try and a good price range, not just the usual big brands and prices.
Product : Good Value.
The jacket construction is mainly leather and part textile with the leather in the areas where it is needed and on show. There are stretch panels down the inside of the arms to aid fit and comfort and it has really soft lining around the neck and sleeves. There are textile panels behind the zips (body and wrists) to keep the drafts out.
The fit around the waist has a good range of adjustment and held snug with Velcro. The back of the jacket extends down low enough to avoid a gap above bike jeans. I would say that the jacket sizing is about right. I bought a size 44. I am 6 foot and 90 kg. which is a bit overweight. I would have to go up to a 46 in Alpinestar or Richa jackets.
There are no vents as such but there are some perforations in the leather in the upper chest, lower back and lower sleeve areas.
It has a removable 'thermal' liner which is quite thin, under that the jacket has a soft mesh lining throughout.
There are 2 outside zip up pockets and 1 inside zip up pocket plus another inside pocket, the liner has an additional 2 pockets, so plenty.
Armour is CE approved in the shoulders and elbows, it is held in place with Velcro and positioned well. I couldn't see what brand it is without cutting the mesh liner which you would have to do if you wanted to swap it for D30 etc. (no big deal). The current armour is a Knox type.
Back protector is a large piece of flat foam so not CE, the pocket for it has a Velcro closure so it can easily be changed and most armoured back protectors should fit. You might have to stick some Velcro on your choice to hold it in place of course.
The only negatives that I can think of so far are that the leather is fairly thin compared to some jackets (but it is nice and soft) and that the seams are all only single stitched.
In my opinion this is mainly a summer jacket, it is surprisingly light when you pick it up. I like the style of it and I found that the fit was really good on me. It's comfortable and protective enough for normal riding on my naked bike. I wouldn't want to rely on it on a track day but that's what one piece leathers are for.
